What is medical transportation?
Everyone needs to go to the doctor but not everyone has the right transportation available to them. Non-emergency medical transportation is a service provided to individuals who although are not in an emergency situation, need more assistance than a taxi or Uber car service is able to provide. Medical transportation service providers are specially equipped to drive riders in wheelchairs, stretchers, or other special needs.
How medical transportation companies help P.I. patients
When accidents happen and personal injury patients need to be treated, many aren’t prepared for the temporary mobility issues they may face while recovering. Surgeries might impair driving or post-procedure medication might make it unsafe or illegal to drive. For a patient, getting to a follow-up appointment may prove more difficult than usual. When this happens, medical transportation is the answer.
Medical transport in a time of Coronavirus
At a time when people are being asked to only visit medical offices if emergency care is required, non-emergency medical transportation offers a safe and easy alternative for patients needing to keep their doctor appointments. With teams and drivers specially trained to sterilize all vehicles in between rides, medical transportation companies are prepared to handle COVID19 patients while keeping others safe.
Non-emergency medical transport and medical liens
Non-emergency medical transport for a patient can be financed by medical liens, which is good news for those involved in personal injury cases. Personal injury cases can take a long time to settle and a patient’s recovery may be unpredictable. Depending on the severity of the injuries and the amount of doctor visits, getting to and from appointments can turn into a nightmare. Luckily, non-emergency medical transportation is a viable, reliable option.

Providing Safe Transportation
Imagine this true story:
You or someone you know needs to get some kind of medical care right now, today or tomorrow in the time of COVID-19, and the only person who could drive them is sick. Maybe it’s the coronavirus and maybe it’s just a cold. How can you tell? What would you do?
Nobody should risk infection and at the same time, nobody should forego needed treatments!
MedTrans Go is dedicated to transporting people in a safe and timely manner to the doctor, ER, therapy or testing appointments. They’re doing two things: First, as always, they are employing teams of certified drivers to get patients safely where they need to go. They are also dedicated to providing patients with a team of trained foreign language interpreters and American Sign Language professionals to make sure that appointments are not cancelled due to mis-communications.
As you know, COVID-19 has affected the entire world in an unprecedented fashion.
In keeping with CDC recommendations, Medtrans Go is performing daily temperature monitoring to business affiliates. They have all been advised that anyone with a temperature of 100.4 and above should not deliver services to MedTrans Go customers without a medical clearance. Similarly, Medtrans Go is advising customers to do the same. In order to maintain safe conditions, MedTrans Go will not take a questionable patient. Additionally, they are advising that they self-quarantine and alert their medical providers if a client is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and a temperature of 100.4 or higher. These guidelines are followed by our transportation and interpretation providers.
There is now a select team of trained MedTrans GO providers who are specifically focusing on transporting COVID19 patients. They have personal protective equipment (PPE) and cleaning supplies to terminally sterilize their equipment and vehicles between patient transportation.
They are working hard to continue to deliver excellent service to clients. No one is better equipped or trained to be a trusted transportation source and interpretation provider during these trying times.
MedTrans Go will continue to monitor the situation and CDC guidelines and will continue to update business practices as the situation evolves. They have a leadership team with medical experience that is actively involved in monitoring the situation and helping update our protocols to help maintain the health of the team and customers. Ultimately, their objective is to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation and interpretation services.
